Video recordings of the KVIT2006 talks available online

Submitted by Jakob on 26 June, 2006 - 01:43.My Blog | Cognitive Science

The first video recordings of the talks held at the KVIT2006 symposium are now available online. KVIT is a cognitive science symposium held here in Linkping every year in May. The symposium is entirely in English and the speakers come from several European countries. Having been involved in organizing the symposium I am very proud that we are now able to let everyone interested watch the video recorded talks online.

The talks cover several topics, this year the following talks were presented:

  • "Gender, learning, and the social dynamics of children's conversations"
  • "Making a Case for Spatial Prompting"
  • "Effects of selective attention on processing of visual information"
  • "Perception and action - which are the interconnections?"
  • "The persistent nexus between gender and technology: everyday practices and cultural interpretations of information technology"
  • "Mobitipping and Affective Diaries"
  • "The aging brain: Cognitive function in health and disease"
  • "Babies, robots, and development of cognition"

You can access the video recordings from Google Video. Abstracts and PDF copies of the slides presented during each talk can be obtained from the KVIT2006 website. Two talks are available at the time of writing but more talks will be made available over the coming days.
